What if I had invested in Bitcoin?
This calculator uses Bitcoin's real daily USD price since August 18, 2010 — no projection, no future price model. Pick a purchase date and it shows what that money would be worth today, the multiple, and the worst intermediate drop that investment actually suffered before today.
A real example: buying at the top
$100 invested on November 10, 2021, near that cycle's top (bitcoin at $66,954.10), fell to just $23.54 by November 22, 2022 — a 76.5% drop. It did not recover to $100 or more until March 5, 2024. Today, that same $100 would be worth $124.73 (+24.7%).

As of today, whoever bought on January 1st of 2025 and 2026 is still underwater: -10.6% in 2025 and -4.6% in 2026.
Everything here is in US dollars: we do not have a reliable historical EUR/USD series. The multiple (×) and the percentage do not depend on the currency; today's value in euros would be different, because the €/$ exchange rate has also moved over this whole period.
